1. Eligibility and your account

1.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Rebuild. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement and that the account information you provide is accurate.

1.2 Account security

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@musthaveappscorp.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

1.3 Acceptable use

You agree to use the App in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms. You shall not:

• Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
• Impersonate another person, including your buddy
• Use the buddy features to harass, abuse, threaten, stalk, or endanger another user
• Post content that is hateful, sexually explicit, promotes self-harm, or violates any applicable law
• Use the SOS channel to send false emergencies or spam
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any associated systems or services
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App or the experience of other users

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

2. Health disclaimer — not a medical service

Rebuild is an alcohol-recovery tracking and accountability tool for informational and supportive purposes only. It is not a medical device, not a crisis service, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Recovery milestones, clearance timelines, and physiological descriptions in the App are based on general research and are not tailored to your individual health.

Consult your doctor or a qualified healthcare professional before changing your drinking pattern, especially if you:

• Have a history of heavy, daily, or prolonged alcohol use
• Have ever experienced withdrawal symptoms (tremors, sweating, seizures, hallucinations)
• Have a pre-existing condition (liver disease, heart conditions, mental-health disorders, diabetes, pregnancy)
• Are taking any medication

Alcohol withdrawal can be medically dangerous. Do not stop drinking abruptly if you have been drinking heavily every day. Seek medical supervision.

The SOS feature is not an emergency service. It sends a peer-to-peer support message to your chosen buddy. It does not contact emergency services, crisis lines, or medical personnel. If you are in crisis, call your local emergency number, a suicide prevention or substance-use hotline, or go to an emergency room immediately.

3. Buddy feature — shared content and rules

The App offers an optional "buddy" pairing with one other user for peer accountability. By pairing with a buddy you acknowledge that:

• Parts of your recovery state become visible to your buddy (sober-day count, current milestone, pledge + check-in status, activity timeline, reactions, comments, reflections, SOS messages you send).
• Messages you send — comments, reflections, SOS content — are copied to your buddy's device and to our servers, and cannot be unsent once delivered.
• You are solely responsible for what you share with your buddy.
• Your buddy must agree to the same Terms; by pairing you confirm you have consent to share content about your own recovery journey.
• Your buddy cannot forward SOS or reflection content inside the App; however, we cannot prevent them from copying content outside the App (screenshots, etc.).

You can unpair at any time. Unpairing revokes your buddy's ongoing access to your current data, but content they already received on their device may remain there.

We reserve the right to remove content or terminate accounts that violate section 1.3 or otherwise harm the service or other users.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you create in the App (notes, reflections, comments, SOS messages, drink logs). By submitting content that is shared with a buddy or transmitted through our servers, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, transmit, display, and process that content solely to operate and support the App. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups retained per our Privacy Policy.

5. Sync, data loss, and backups

The App syncs your recovery data to our servers so you can restore it on a new device. While we take commercially reasonable measures to prevent data loss, no sync system is perfect. You are encouraged to keep your own records of anything you cannot afford to lose. We are not liable for data loss beyond the limitations in section 8.

6. Intellectual property

6.1 Ownership

The App and Website, including all content, branding, features, and functionality we provide, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws.

6.2 Limited licence

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the App without our prior written consent.

7. Privacy

Our collection, use, and sharing of information are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

8. Subscriptions

8.1 Rebuild Pro

Some features of the App require a paid subscription ("Rebuild Pro"). Pro unlocks additional insights, buddy features, widgets, and other premium content as described inside the App.

8.2 Free trial

Subscriptions may include a free trial. After the trial, your subscription will automatically renew into a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

8.3 Billing

Monthly, yearly, and lifetime plans are available. Payment is charged through your Apple App Store or Google Play account on confirmation of purchase. Recurring subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

8.4 Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time via your platform's subscription settings (App Store / Play Store). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Refunds are subject to the refund policies of Apple and Google; Rebuild does not process refunds directly.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

9.1 Availability

We aim to keep the App reliable but do not guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or secure. Scheduled maintenance and unforeseen outages can occur.

9.2 Disclaimer of warranties

The App and Website are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9.3 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including data loss, lost profits, emotional distress, or injury — arising from your use or inability to use the App, the acts or omissions of your buddy, or the SOS feature's failure to deliver a message. Our total aggregate liability will not exceed the amounts you paid us for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rebuild and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of your misuse of the App, content you submit that violates these Terms, or your violation of another user's rights.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without refund, if you materially breach these Terms, harm other users, or engage in illegal activity. Upon termination, your licence to use the App ends and your synced data will be removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the App. Continued use of the App after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Rebuild is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by mandatory local consumer-protection law.
