Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Rebuild mobile application ("App") and https://getrebuild.app ("Website") provided by Rebuild ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the App, you ("you" or "User") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility and acceptable use

1.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Rebuild. By using the App, you confirm you meet this requirement. Rebuild has no accounts and no sign-up — you can simply install the App and start using it.

1.2 Acceptable use

You agree to use the App in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms. You shall not:

  • Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any associated systems or services
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App

We may block access to the App or its services for anyone who violates these rules.

2. Health disclaimer — not a medical service

Rebuild is an alcohol-recovery tracking and accountability tool for informational and supportive purposes only. It is not a medical device, not a crisis service, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Recovery milestones, clearance timelines, and physiological descriptions in the App are based on general research and are not tailored to your individual health.

Consult your doctor or a qualified healthcare professional before changing your drinking pattern, especially if you:

  • Have a history of heavy, daily, or prolonged alcohol use
  • Have ever experienced withdrawal symptoms (tremors, sweating, seizures, hallucinations)
  • Have a pre-existing condition (liver disease, heart conditions, mental-health disorders, diabetes, pregnancy)
  • Are taking any medication

Alcohol withdrawal can be medically dangerous. Do not stop drinking abruptly if you have been drinking heavily every day. Seek medical supervision.

The Craving SOS feature is not an emergency service. It offers private, self-guided coping exercises for craving moments. It does not contact emergency services, crisis lines, or medical personnel. If you are in crisis, call your local emergency number, a suicide prevention or substance-use hotline, or go to an emergency room immediately.

3. Your content

You own the content you create in the App (notes, journal entries, drink logs). It is stored only on your device — we do not receive it, host it, or claim any license over it. You are free to export it at any time.

4. Local data and data loss

Rebuild stores your recovery data on your device, not on our servers. This means the data's safety depends on your device: if you delete the App, reset the device, or lose the phone without your own backup, that data may be lost. You can export your data to a backup file (JSON) at any time from within the App — you are encouraged to keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. We are not liable for data loss beyond the limitations in section 8.

5. Intellectual property

5.1 Ownership

The App and Website, including all content, branding, features, and functionality we provide, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws.

5.2 Limited licence

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the App without our prior written consent.

6. Privacy

Our collection, use, and sharing of information are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

7. Subscriptions

7.1 Rebuild Pro

Some features of the App require a paid subscription ("Rebuild Pro"). Pro unlocks additional insights and other premium content as described inside the App.

7.2 No free trial or introductory offer

Rebuild does not offer free trials or introductory offers. Monthly, yearly, and lifetime purchases are charged in full to your Apple App Store or Google Play account immediately upon confirmation of purchase.

7.3 Billing

Monthly, yearly, and lifetime plans are available. Payment is charged through your Apple App Store or Google Play account on confirmation of purchase. Recurring subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

7.4 Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time via your platform's subscription settings (App Store / Play Store). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Refunds are subject to the refund policies of Apple and Google; Rebuild does not process refunds directly.

7.5 Promotional codes

We may occasionally issue promotional codes that unlock Rebuild Pro. Promo codes have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may not be resold or redeemed for money. They are limited to one lifetime Pro grant per device, are valid only for the period (if any) we specify, and may be revoked or withdrawn at any time — including where we reasonably believe a code was obtained or used fraudulently or in breach of these Terms.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

8.1 Availability

We aim to keep the App reliable but do not guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or secure. Scheduled maintenance and unforeseen outages can occur.

8.2 Disclaimer of warranties

The App and Website are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8.3 Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including data loss, lost profits, emotional distress, or injury — arising from your use or inability to use the App. Our total aggregate liability will not exceed the amounts you paid us for the subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rebuild and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of your misuse of the App, content you create that violates these Terms, or your violation of another party's rights.

10. Termination

You can stop using Rebuild at any time by uninstalling the App, and you can wipe your local data with "Erase all data" in the Profile screen. We may withdraw or block access to the App or its services, without refund, if you materially breach these Terms or engage in illegal activity. On termination, your licence to use the App ends; any data on your device remains yours to keep or erase.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the App. Continued use of the App after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

Rebuild is provided by Must Have Apps SIA, registered at Valguma iela 18-16, Rīga, LV-1048, Latvia. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of Rīga, Latvia will have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law entitles you to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
